Dear Mr. Holmes:

Are you aware that the arts improve health and well-being, result in community unification, and increase creativity among people of all ages? Arts education also has a major impact on student motivation, attitudes, and school attendance.

Since its conception in 2008, the Western New York Book Arts Center has strived to provide a deeper understanding and treasuring of the book arts to the Western New York community. We aim to educate future generations about the underappreciated practices of letterpress printing, screen printing, paper making and book making. These practices, which encapsulate the essence of the printed word, are pivotal to understanding the role books have played in human history.

WNY Book Arts Center is proud to host workshops teaching the book arts and showcase local artists in our gallery with the continued support from all our donors. You have helped us enrich the experience of numerous school and college students in the past with your generous donations.

Today, we are asking you to donate $50 to help WNY Book Arts Center provide the same quality of book arts education to Western New Yorkers that we have given this wonderful community in the past. You can help shape the future of the printed word with another generous donation.

WNY Book Arts Center is an educational non-profit that depends on donations from magnanimous donors like you to sustain itself and continue on its mission to cultivate a love for the book arts within the Western New York community.

With your help, WNY Book Arts will be able to fashion the creative spirit of our community into a beautiful tapestry of printed words on handmade paper. As a connoisseur of art, we are sure that you will continue to support us this year with a gift of $50.

Thank you for all your support.

Sincerely,

Devyani Sawant

WNY Book Arts Center Head of Development

P.S. Your donation of $50 will allow more members of our community to experience first-hand the joy of printing with a letterpress.
